475 is urittable by 70′s, and then 5 more defense for eh level above you the mob is. ?? Bosses areounted as 3 levels above you, so you need 490 against them. You’re going to need to get a lot of gear replements. You’ll need tohange out all those DPS pies for tanking stuff. Shoulders,hest, belt, boots, the blue ring, and the sword.. You’re far too low in Defense and HP for MgT.

Wow thank you az! Appriate all of the info.well for one your stillritable i think you need like 475 deff to be uritable against lvl 70 mobs so that will help alot. sadly you have alot of dps gear on. personaly i would put it in bank and just go to ah and pk up some “of thehampion” to get your deff up some. you gemed your belt for the bonus of +3 agi when you should have tossed = +12 sta or +9 sta in there for the hp. on yourhest you have atk power and sta gems i’m not sure if thats for pvp sie sorta looks like it but go for deff and sta or even resil just to get you uritable untill youan pk up a better tankinghest eather in mh or aldor rep.an’t remember if the ryer has one or not. Same with helm and gloves the parry rateing on gloves is ok i guess but make sure you have some deff gems or sta gems not hit and agi one. all in all get uritable #1, then stk hp and armor and dodge and all that good stuff. sorry not more helpfull been awhile sie i lvled my pally prot or even played him lol been on my druid past 3 months. Isn’t urit for regular mobs 485? And then 490 for raids. Well either way, definitely get that pronto. Then get your health up. You are definitely what I’donsider too low for MgT, not justause youan berit, but maybe more importantly bause of the massive magal damage in that instae. Follow the gear guide in the stky up top going through more regular runs and keep improving that gear set to be more tankish. At least hit urit before trying MgT again is my rommendation. the whole raid so I’m not seeing

Well the totems don’t afft the whole raid so I’m not seeing where you get these 1080 tks. But with all my buffs and stuff up Ian get my totem to tk for just over 150, whh to me is pretty impressive. Unfortunately, mana spring does not stk. Whh if you ask me, is BS, but whatever. I don’t see it overpowered. The totem only has 5 hp. Ian see 5 elemental shamans doing a hero, but never 5 restos.Hehe Thats a interesting hypothetal situation Seease. I like the uonventional thinking, though your right in prte I don’t think its going to happen the way we’d think it would. Though what you propose is something akin to what wealled in FFXI a “Burn party”. But sie the mhans of WoW and FFXI are different…I don’t think its going to work out as it might have in another game. In my experiae when partying with more than 1 sham (whh usually 1 sham is of the healing type), the “healer” takes up the duty ofaster support totems, and me (the dps type) takes up the melee support and more importantly the status removal tot’s ifwhen needed. I’m inharge of that sie it would be a great detriment to the party of the healer isn’t getting fed a stream of MP, or has to waste their water tot on a poison tot, when if its aluh situation they really needed a mana tide instead! This being said, situationally, even if it was a full pt of resto sham’s…typally not everyoneould have a healing stream down all the time. Also we know that even mail armor gets hit BAD when fing BIG elites! One badrushing blowan still one shot us in mail, so while 1000k a tk would help us survive a non-hero onslaught from a trash mob and possibly a boss, the 4-5k hits of a hero boss wouldn’t tk fast enough, and we’d need a devoted healer to give us a &quothae”. As we know wean’tast and dps at the sametime, so thially even a party of 5 1 of the 5 resto’s would still have toover healing roles, removing them from dps. leaving the dps duty down to 4 resto’s….its going to be a LOOONG fight hehe. Its a interestingoept, and this was in no means to JUST throwold water on it, but just to play devil’s advate Now…on a slightly related side note: Now that we know that the lvlap will be raised to 80 in the uoming Exp pk. Perhaps something like this might bome a viable possibily sie Im assuming that raising theap 10 lvls also means we got 10 more talent points to ple! Ponder on that one for awhile huh?! Stormstrike AND Elemental Mastery!? Stormstrike AND Nature’s Swiftness AND Shamanist Rage AND Mana Tide?! Hmmm…

Yes, the stream tot’s do….sorta. “Sorta” sie its a matter of what you might define as “stking”. When 2 Stream tot’s are tive you will see 2 lines of text roll up on your reen (assuming you use tive battle text), note that this means that your’s and someone elses are both tive, seperately! So thially both are working but independent of eh other, as opposed to you seeing 1 line of text that is the sum of both tot’s. But, using persay 2 resist tot’s, you won’t get a sum or 2 different ons saying your getting 2 effts of the resist tot, its always just 1.

I didn’t use a talentaulator, and I am only level 17 so I don’t think my armor matters atm. I just want a set build for SMRuin, but it doesn’t seem like anyone knows or everyone has a varying one and there isn’t an tual setookieutter version of it. The additional talents we got with the raisedap made SMRuin obsolete. You’d be better off aiming for a UA type of sp for leveling. The sond talent tree doesn’t really matter, but play styles differ between Affldestro and AfflDemo. Usually, the affl tree is fully loaded before the sond talent tree is started. I’d take the point away from ruin, and put it into UA. So your sayingompletelyap every skill in the affltion tree before moving on to destrtion? What is UA? What should I be putting points into for destrtion and why is the talentaulator so important? Thanks again.

liked the lks who would life tap to no

I s my felhunter all the time. I never really liked the lks who would life tap to no health after every pull, let the healers heal em, then dae around while the healers drank. That always kinda bugged me, even though almost every healer I’ve run with isool with healing after life taps. So for grinding, 5-mans, and T4 trash (never been to T5) I have the felhunter sced just to keep moving along without having to ever worry about mana. This also helps as I usually do pugs and it’s keeps my damage output lower whh is neause I have that stupidrit at the wrong time pulls agro problem on trash. On raid bosses however I will always swih and s my scubus(or imp in your situation) for the 15% damage irease. Unless ofourse the tank has low hp or is really slow on gaining threat then I’ll just kep the imp out. Link to this Jun 24th 2008 4:05pm : Logged Reply to this Lathaisholar1714 Dent During a fight, it is ceptable to Life Tap your mana up and expt a heal, what I will normally do when I get below 30% or so mana, instead of just life-tapping to full is start alternating Life-Tap and SB. If after the first two I do not get a heal, pop a HS or Health Pot. If I get a HoT, I Life Tap to full mana. This keeps my Life from getting into the one-shot range, but keeps me at a reasonable mana level. After a fight is aompletely different story, I never expt heals at this point, and what I normally do is Life Tap so that eating a Mana Biuit will get me full on Health and Mana at approximately the same time. I usually get heals anyway, sometimes I’ll keep Tapping, sometimes I won’t. This is all in a raid enario ofourse, in 5-mans, don’t expt heals for Tapping, ever. Use your HS or a Pot if youan, or Tap and Drain Life so you are stillausing damage.

to play around with it to understand and get

thanks for the spreadsheet link… ill have to play around with it to understand and get it working abit better but ian see itoming in handy i think felguard is looking like the best way to go espially for raidingause yea as both of you said the scy is probably too squishy. and as far as my fire rotation goes i was just going with wat i felt like i should be doing. i had it in my head thatonflag was better dmg than the last tk of immolate.. but your point of the globalooldown is something i didnt think of. as for pking fire in the first ple.. i mainly do heros and kara.. and im aware that shadow is better for overall group dps but i was shooting for more personal dps for a bit of fun. when i get more into the 25 mans ill take the group more intoonsideration. about scing the felhunter instead of the imp. i was shadow destro for abit before i went fire and i was scing my scy. it was sh a mana drain and i was life tappingonstantly and i felt like i was being a drain on the healers. (i dont know how mh its expted of healers to heal us lks with life tapping in raids so i feel guilty lol) at least with the mana regen of the fel hunter i barely life tap anymore so i figured that would up my dps by dpsing through the times u was usually sitting life tapping. but anyways. im not really in a position to get any of the t5 gear yet. but ill give the felguard sp a go for now. hopefully ill get the hang of using him in fights. espially with not gettin him killed every 5 sonds. and yea thanks for the mana feed infoause i wasnt sure how mh id really need. thanks for theomments

redulous, and Armored to

Deep Wounds is tually redulous, and Armored to the Teeth is amazing for Prot Warriors. Myurrent L80 Prot build looks more like this. Deep Wounds is efftively ~50% weapon damage on arit. Deep Wounds isurrently stking like Ignite does, so if yourit oe it’ll tk for (say) 100tk, and then if yourit again it’ll start tking for 200tk until six sonds after the first one, where it’ll revert to 100tk.RP you’d give up the 1% dodge from antation for a little extra bleed damage off a your (1 hand) weapons average damage??? Deep Wounds looks like the same talent I have on my Arms Warrior that uses a 2H weapon (higher average damage) and honestly the output is not that great lol, I’d hate to see the return off a 1 hander, I’m thinking in the ballpark of Romulo’s trinket poison efft lol. 1% dodge don’t sound like a lot, but I think you’d miss it lol. Again, no numberruher, but that don’t sit well with me. =D *edit* oops did not see you said it stks. Still 1 hand weapon damage. Not sure. Have to see the spreadsheet on it lol To put it into persptive, eh time Irit Deep Wounds deals ~600 extra damage without any raid buffs, using a fast weapon (more if I used a slow one). Add in Trauma (+30%) and AP boosts and it’sonsiderably more, plus with Feral Druids, MotW, BoK, horn of WinterTotems and Ho or similar you gain 11%rit fully raid-buffed. It’s well worth taking. If I was going to drop my damage down (not unreasonable, given that Prot TPS is off the wall) I’d ronsider it, but I’d probably just drop the points out of AttT instead, good as it is. Deep Wounds is just ridulous.
