Hey guys. Just changed from SV to MM through guild requirements for raiding but have a question about Arcane Shot and shot rotation. The guilds main Hunters havent spec’d for Arcane Shot in thier MM talents and tell me they dont even use the shot as they do better dps without it and have less mana drain. The thing I see with mana is you can always go from Dragonhawk back to Viper, load the mana back up and then change back to Dragonhawk but you lose dps during this transition. So whats the general concensus, is Arcane Shot something I should spec for or not? I know as SV Explosive Shot was my friend. Now shot rotation, this is what was on our guild forum from our main Hunter: I have been having a few mana issues with introducing arcane shot in my spam rotation. At moment i have current spam of: Rapid fire SSti CS macroed with SS Aim Arc Readiness Steady and the shot rotation is fairly easy after initial cooldowns: 1x CS 1x As 1x Arc 2x SS RInse and repeat and hit other cooldown u have whenever they are up sacrificing SS However after getting on latest hunter spreadsheet it seems that a small improvement in dps can be made by getting rid of Arc (changin the arc talents) and simplifying the roation. It also saves a lot of mana and should never have a problem with full raid buffs. 1x CS 1x Aim Shot 3x SS Glyphs: Kill shot, glyph of the hawk, serpent sting. The extra points u hit into rapid fire means that is up probably once more during boss fights and the spare point into +hit helps gear. ALso you can drop trueshot aura if u only interested in using this spec for raiding. Had a go at reviewing MM vs SV spec and MM still comes out on top for overall damage, burst damage and damage vs moving fights. So again is this a good roation to work with without using Arcane Shot? I always like to ask for a second opinion as the more advice you can get will never hurt. Thanks.

sorry torush your dreams but i REALY wouldnt bother with a 39 twink…..49 warlk twinks are 10 hundered million times better, best possible twink youould possibly have49 twinks are great soul firerits arerazy. 39 brket all i gotta say is Affltion FTW, DoT up as many as youan and if they kill you your dots still run theirourse so you rk up damage and get HK’s. And well Syphon life is one of the best spells as it allows you to regain health. I do rommend using the VW at that lvl bause srife seems almost invaluable when those few sondsan be the differee between you being dead or your SLdrain life putting you at max health again. The Hypnot Blade is a great weapon, but at level 34, it’s not outlands-ehantable.isn’t the item lvl of hypnot blade 39? so thnally it would qualify for the lvl 35 and above items it says req to use is 34 but tual item lvl i think is 39 Link to this Nov 30th 2007 1:58pm : Logged Reply to this tzsjynx930 Default Hypnot Blade is a Req Level 34 Item – it is made this way on purpose so that itan not be ehanted with 35+ ehants. Just like many great weapons are level 20 or 30 or just out of reh of a BG Brket — Items are made this way on purpose to narrow down what youan use and when. Staff of Jordan is indeed a good staff, quite a pretty penny though — if youan even find one for sale. While not quite as good, you may alsohoose to get either Illusionary Rod and use the +30 or get the 38 Warsong Staff (very good Lk stats) and put +40 on it. Advisor’s Gnarled Staff Lorekeeper’s Staff Illusionary Rod If you’re going for all out twinkage though, Staff of Jordan (+40) is the way to go. VW in BG is debated as his Srafe spell is very handy but to a good Fltion lk would only be a 1 shot about 25% ireased survivability. This is pretty situational, andan also eats through Shards qukly. Using Scy is also situational, but forompleting events and for defense the this petanome in very, very handy. This is mostly a personalhoe. If you’re Demology and want to be doing shadow damage, use Master Summoner + Scubus (what I meant in my above .) Demon Srafing will eat through shards. Shoulders need Upgrade: Stonloth Epaulets Berylline Pads Lunar Mantle of the Eagleof Stamina For brers get something with STA and INT: Radiant Silver Brers, Aurora Brers, Darkspearuffs, t. Youould also go for Glowing Magal Brers for 8 int +4 spell, but the STA will serve you better. Rings: Advisor RingLorekeeper’s Ring [38] Golden Ring of Power Hat: Whitemane’s is good, alsoonsider Miner’s Hat of the Deep

64411 is the spc in t5ontent with the highest damageoutput.Quk question… Does the spell damage bonus from Demon Knowledge and Master Demonologist provide more damage and overall utility than either srifing a felhunter for mana or a scubus for 15% shadow damage bonus? In mathematal terms, is Demon Srife (scumbus) > [Demon Knowledge (scumbus) + Master Demonologist (scumbus)]? This is for a pre-raiding, 5-man instae sp where I will have dungeon blues and two pies of pvp gear (gladiator spell blade and probably a ring) and be spced 4021. Thanks Link to this Jan 19th 2008 9:54am : Logged Reply to this Oakenwrathholar821 Dent it?s scubus i am speaking about raiding. your average damage is higher than a destrobuild, if one of you shadowbolts get reistet due to you not being at hiap your dps suffers severly. if you are at 202 hiap you probably won?t have enough +dmg und rit to make you shadowbolts hit hard enough in mid-end stk. if anyoneould be bothered to do the math than you?ll see. Ha. I always spell that word iorrtly for some reason… I never had aaster before Oaken and I would like you to rall your pre-raiding days, but is spell hit vital for pre-raidinglevel 70 5-man instaes oran I put that aside for spell damage and spellrit. Are you talking about the Ret talent Vengeae?an only assume you are, and that being thease: Ehrit gives you a stkable irease to your damage. If you were spcing Ret you’d be a fool not to pk this talent up. As a tank though you won’t (shouldn’t anyway) be spcing this far into the tree, so you won’t be using this yourself. It also only benefits the Paly who has this talent, so if you had a Ret with you, you would get no benefit when they had this up. Also Vengeae is not an tivated ability, it is a pr of sorts. Youan’tlk to tivate it, you simply have to get arit and up it goes. It doesn’t go on an tion bar, to a mouselk, anything like that: it’s just always there.I’m a 66 Prot paly who just got this as another SealJudge and just not sure if it’s of any value what-so-ever… I’m just suprised to have it at all… You would figure they’d have some use???Seal of Vengeae is of very limited use at the moment. About the only time you’d really use this is on fights where you will have times that you aren’t able to be on the boss…. Mostly though this seal will be less threat than SoR. In about a week when pah 3.02 hits this will definitely be the seal to use for tanking though. It will stk on every hit so it’ll stk faster and it will beonsiderably more dpsthreat than SoR. also the Judgement of Vengeae in 3.03 will be the hardest hitting judgement. this week though use SoR for tanking.I’d also imagine there is some pvp use against rogues and feral druids. Though be aware a roguean remove it withloak of shadows, whh is on a 2 minooldown.

lol @lowomp. edit: @ ArtofMag It just results in the pet getting killed again in 2 sonds, as HotP doesn’t get it bk with full hp. And 5 sonds extra to get rid of half our dps isn’t going to t the ales in our favour. The only way to keep your pet (and me) alive for any length of time was to stealth before the doors opened. You then sent the pet (in thisase aat) with Prowl on their healer when you ID’d them and youame in behind them. If they missed you doing this, you generallyould have 1-2lothies down before theyould ret and take you out due to range. If they hadn’t killed any of yours in that time, it generally meant a win. This was the only time I ever had any scess in Arena. If Iould get into the fight even with a slight delay and then dump everything on their healer (or another unsuspting hunter) and down them fast, we stood ahae of winning the mah. If I was dead in under 20 sonds, we lost every time. It’s too mh of a dps loss to win with, and it meant the other team usually had a brain. It’s why NE Hunters withats were semi-okay in Season 3. Now it’s “Why bother” sie there are just too many ways around a hunter and with DK’s, it’s gotta be even more fruitless. Go do BG’s, you’ll be happier.
