For those that are a lower level and interested in a quick and easy way to get gold, take up mining and head to the Moonkin Caves at Darkshore. All you will need to mine is a mining pick and to be trained in the mining profession. There will be quests all around the mookin but your task at hand will be to just circle the rocks around the moonkin caves. I would keep doing these circles until you are no longer getting any experience points for killing the moonkin around the caves.
Make sure your "Find Minerals" skill is equipped and there are markings on your minimap showing you the location of the ore. You will be killing the moonkin that cross your path on your way to hitting the ore dots that are on your map. These mines will be mostly all copper nodes with the occasional tin and silver mine. By doing big circles around the moonkin cave you will gather stacks of ore. But also gather the light feather that the moonkill kills will drop. The small eggs are generally not valuable unless you are on a holiday where they are on demand for different recipes such as Christmas cookies and eggnog. Check the Auction House to see if they are going for a decent amount that will pay for you to pick up the eggs while you are picking up feathers.
By doing this for a week or so, you will get up a better stash of gold quicker than normal and will be able to get better armor faster for the upcoming middle level quests and adventures. The prices on the items that you are gathering are always varying but typically the economy of the auction house will be worth doing this. My World of Warcraft server, Feathermoon, has the prices that I'm using for this article.
This circling of Moonkin caves at Darkshore will help raise your experience quicker and will get your quests done while earning gold on the way to your next town. While this guide is designed for miners, you can always do this for just the light feather and occasional green item drop from the moonkin if you do not have the mining skill.
